"Welcome Winter!" Wednesday

Welcome!

This year, winter doesn't officially start until Monday, December 21, so this first post in Loves the Bible and Art is about the winter season we sometimes go through. We sometimes go through troubles, struggles, issues, and situations that make us feel cold and dry, like those winter days some dread. I’ve learned to love winter! I actually love every season because each season has its own beauty and teaches valuable lessons.

My devotional reading today was about praising God at all times, especially during those winter seasons; about not freaking out in wintertime, and monitoring our feelings because feelings are fickle. But while it is true that my feelings are fickle, my God is not! And God is in control of all things in my life; I’ve given Him all things, and I know that He holds me in His hands.

“Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name.” Hebrews 13:15

I choose to walk in His promises and His Word; therefore, I must be in His Word to be continuously reminded of those promises! I wholeheartedly believe that we must be Biblical Christians, especially if we want to be able to walk in the assurance of God’s promises. Only then will we be able to lift our hands and voice in praise and thankfulness to the One who does not fail to bring us through each and every season in life.

How are you handling wintertime? Are you trusting God, or are you struggling with your fickle feelings?

Loves the Bible and Art

¡Bienvenido!

¡Yo he aprendido a amar el invierno!
